Let alone a dual core Pentium 4 (no one say Pentium D, thats a bad excuse for dual core). Not trying to be an ass but, 1GHz Nvidia Graphics Card doesnt explain a whole lot nor does the 5GBs of RAM with (I'm assuming) a 32-bit operating system. Maybe it's a quad core with a failed core? Kinda like AMD's idea... 32 bit windows only uses 3.5 GB of RAM if your video card has 512mb... It can only work with 4GB total memory I miss my 64 bit windows install... Everything was so obnoxiously fast! lol

Though i thought those only worked in even pairs. I could be mistaken. But with the large amount of ram and use of P4's, i would figure it to be an older server.

Most motherboards made in the past 4 years are good for 8GB of ram

With the old server boards (and even todays to some degree) you had to run almost identical CPUs. Can't run a single and dual core together (atleast to my knowlegde, I'm no expert.)

Alright here is a pic of my desktop: I have to say this is a funny post topic. Its interesting seeing what people tend to choose as backgrounds. I have a lot of school programs and what not on my desktop, my laptop one is different (corvette background alternated with motorcycles, depending on the day). My work computer has a nice 07 Corvette Z06 background, and confidential work files I can't show you. quote:

I haven't understood one word in this whole post....wow...makes my head hurt! When I went to but my lap top...I told the computer guy...."I want a word processor that can search the internet and burn CD's" He went into this whole speel about processors and gigi thingies and multi service connections blah blah blah....I just stared at the freckle on his forehead until he was done..said thank you and left....(ran away) found super deal at office depot on a lap top..(called my computer friend like 8 times to make sure I wasn't buying a stupid computer) So about the only thing I can do on this computer is change the screen thingie...but I don't...I like my waterfall...
