Yes it will hold up from what I have read.  Some of the best out there is this but it's a little more spendy.  The BXT should be good to about 300, way hotter than you're car should get.

hmmm....

well maybe i should put some sort of thermometer rig to see if i can measure how hot the metal gets, AND how hot the inside temp is....

i highly doubt it goes over 200 degrees, but then again, i do plan on having it black with a mostly black interrior...

Haha, if I posted all the pics in the Haxor thread it would be way too long with all the projects people are doing.  If Dustin comes over to the island in July for some of the comps, I might see if he wants to clamp the amps.  I was trying to meet up with him around xmas, but it didn't work out.  We all know Sundownz pwns that crotchfire anyways :P

One roll of BXT and 4 yards of ensolite on order, and enough tweed to to the headliner.  Just gotta go fnish up repairing my rear shock tabs (damn things broke when taking the shocks off).  Got the springs all powder coated all sexy with another leaf added.

Finally got the springs back in, after having to repair the anchor plate shock mount tabs.  I bought a set of used springs from a guy.  I originally just wanted them to take one leaf out of them and put it into my spring pack.  After getting mine apart I noticed that one of the mains had a crack in it by the center pin that was pretty bad.  So I ended up using the mains from the ones I bought, which were about 1" taller unloaded compared to my old ones.  I cut down a leaf and added them in.  After sandblasting/primer/coating, some new u bolts, poly bushings it ended up lifting the rear 2" or so.  That's without them settling at all right now.  Deadener should be here Monday, and hopefully the tweed not too far out either.

Working on prepping the headliner, so when the tweed arrives I can just wrap it.  Trying to figure out how to repair and strengthen the headliner.  It's not in the best shape.  Any ideas?

Get a new one.   haha
But only thing i could think of is do some fiber glassing to repare the bad spots.
Now for dB Drag competition that would put you in Extreme if its glassed infront of the B pillars, and S MAx or SS if its done behind the B's only.
Chances are it wont matter and if you dont tell anyone they wont ask....its not like you are going to World Finals so its not a big deal.  I only bring this up seeing as its in the audioz section.

I've put some resin in some areas so far.  I'm just wondering if I should glass the whole damn thing or not.  If I put like 1 or 2 layers of cloth over it to help.  Yet not too stiff that it still might bend, I dunno.  The only comp I will be entering will be just for fun to see what it does on the meter.

2 Layers of BXT on the roof then covered with ensolite.  Also applied a little bit of expanding foam in some areas.  Today I am just going to go start putting most of the interior parts back in.

Interior mostly back together.  Not putting the rear piece of carpet in as I don't want to destroy it by drilling holes into when I mount the amps/box etc.  Few things left to do, redo a couple things.  Next project is to start on box.  Really starting to miss bass.

Sweet dude.  These things look so good once prettied up again.  NEW LIFE
I wished you had told me about the tweed a long time ago.  But i will probably be redoing both my head liner and floor soon enough so.

Thanks.  You never asked about the tweed before, or else I would have pointed you in the right direction :P  I didn't take any pics of the carpet after steam cleaning it, it did come a bit cleaner.  It's 20 years old and faded more than anything.  With the headliner I just ended up polyester resining the broken areas and a couple other spots.  Put down some new 1/4" foam then the tweed.  One day I plan to do the dash, either wrapped or at least painted to match.  Looked into getting the seats recovered but I don't have the $1,000 to do it.  So for now they will have to do.

Really need to find an adhesive to use with a gun.  $15 a can :(  I think I've used about 12 or 13 of the damn things so far.
