Well, I don't have many pix of my previous vehicles. The only ones worth seeing are the Grand Am and the Maxima. I'll look later and edit my post if I find any. - 1978 Ford T-Bird: POS! This was my dad's, and he killed the tranny -- but I took the keys and drove it to high school every day without him knowing. I learned that I could keep it from stalling by revving the motor in neutral. (Hey, he wasn't driving it!)
- 1974 "restored" Audi 100LS: POS! And when I tried to return it to the lady who sold it to me, I found out she died two weeks after she sold me the car! Everything eventually fell apart, piece by piece. Practically had to pay somebody to tow it away.
- 1991 Chevy Cavalier: Great car. 2.2L with a 5-speed stick. My favorite memory is spinning donuts in the Giant parking lot after it snowed. It was toasted by a lady turning left from opposing traffic. The insurance payout was the down payment on my...
- 1997 Grand Am GT Coupe: AWESOME car. 2.4L (Quad Four) engine with a 5-speed stick. Faster, lower, and handled better than the SE model. Hit an ice patch on I-97 in January 2004. Did a 360 and slammed rear-first into a jersey wall, thus causing the permanent upper back problems I now have today. Miraculously, I still DROVE HOME after the accident, though it was technically totalled. Donated the remains to the Salvation Army. My one pet peeve was the water pump, which had to be replaced twice, AND was located inside the engine block! What BS!
- 1990 Acura Legend L: 3.0L Honda V6. Bought this car used for my ex. Since she failed to make payments, I kept it after we broke up then gave it to my bro, who neglected it until it went to hell. Auto tranny was toast, but I would have dropped in a stick if I had kept it, since everything else was fine.
- 1998 Nissan Maxima: 3.0L Nissan V6, with a 5-speed stick. AWESOMER than the Grand Am, but not by much. A little faster than the Grand Am, with a LOT more passenger room. Handled mediocre with the stock wheels, but it was way happier when I put it on lower profile tires. It gave up the ghost August 2006 on I-97, when a construction worker swung an illegal U-turn without yielding. The mourning period was long. Started my phobia of ever driving on I-97 again.
- 1996 Chevy Blazer LS: 4.3L Vortec V6, auto. My wife had it first, then I gave her the blue book value after the Maxima was murdered. My first truck, so it took some getting used to. Now I love it. However, I won't be completely happy until I pull out the auto transmission and put a stick shift in it.
I used to say it wants a 350, but with current gas prices, I think I should be careful of what I ask for...

The white '97 Taurus in the background was my first/previous car... the purple and green Fiero was my friend's first car, we picked it up from ohio that day... notice the wonderful white duct tape on the side view mirror of my taurus... stupid bush tried to eat my mirror once... another angle...

1986 Chevy Astro Got in a few fender benders with her; replaced the hood, grille, LF fender, and bumper. Went through many used tires ;). Replaced a water pump after one particular burnout session. Longest one wheel peel was 180 feet stepped out heel to toe. Lots of good high school and college memories in that bad boy. Had it for 4 years and would've ended up costing more to keep it on the road than it was worth. Well, honestly any money put into it would've been more than it was worth. Dad picked it up for $100, put a new tranny in it and painted it the bright orange that it was. 1988 Chevy Astro Got a half-cargo to replace it. Picked this one up for $50 b/c it had a siezed engine. Put a refurbed 4.3 in it, replaced a few body parts but never did get to painting it. Got pulled over for failed inspection and no registration (I was in college in PA with NJ plates and never switched over). Cop was nice and said I could give you two tickets, one for failure to inspect and one for operating unregistered vehicle. He gave me two weeks to either fix the problems to get it inspected (muffler, brakes, windshield, etc.) or he would be on the lookout and I would be getting those tickets. LINK to more pics Found a good deal on my Blazer and the rest is history, newest vehicle I've owned and actually the newest vehicle my family has ever owned before the Mom got her 2005 4dr S10 p/u . I've never been able to be comfortable in a car, always have been higher up. Anyway, a lot to read for only two vehicles, I know. Born and raised Bowtie, stayed GM with the Wife's car.

Blk85, I think that unless you have something serious done then yes. I ran a stage 2 6g72 ripp mods SDS (supercharged drive system) along with some other goodies that you need not know about. With a set set of slicks to really stick at the track.
