Hi, i have a 1996 chevy blazer 2wd lt...

I want to put lambo or butterfly doors, dont really care, just want something from the norm...

Im looking at some universal kits, but i have a couple of questions..

1) has anyone used any kits, universal or otherwise and had positive experiences?

2) does anyone know the approx weight of a blazer front door?

3) here are some kits im looking at, is anyone against these?

what ever floats your boat.
From what I've heard lambo doors are hard to line up, so I wish you luck.

It'd be hard with the shape of the door I think.  You'll blow out the hinges in no time.   Blazers have heavyyyyy doors anyway...i'd find another way to make your truck unique.

my buddy with an xtreme s-10 put lambo doors oh his and imo all aftermarket kits blow because its not truely lambo doors. you open the door like you normally would then it goes up. i think its a waste of money. if i were you i would put suicide doors on either the front or back, if you have 4 doors. thats just my $0.02.

Yea but suicide doors wouldn't be quite as exciting since you can't remove the centerline support posts....so it's just like a blazer with backwards welded rear doors...blech..

yea, like i said, if i was gonna do suicide, id put them on the back... because then it would look symetrical when front and back doors were open..

Im sure i can figure out any alighnment problems and i have a welder friend by trade, so im good there...i just wanna make sure, 1) that theyll actually lift blazer doors, and 2) they wont wobble..

what about butterfly/scissor slide doors? those look a lot better than straight lambo imo...
