im looking at getting rid of the blazer. Being a 2 door, with 2 small kids, its just not practical anymore. Yeah, it looks great, but Im looking to downsize to a car like a fusion or something. Car has more room, better gas mileage, and a factory warranty, which is everything im going for. Thing is im going to get hit with the trade in value, they may give me 6000?? cause i owe 7800 on it still (bought it a year ago) another thing is seeing if i can get approved with a negative trade in/down payment. i have SO much crap with my name on loans for credit its not funny! Good thing is i have a solid job i been at for 3 years.... blazer loan Wifes car loan House loan Co-signed for my sisters car have a loan out on the title for my lumina. (for house down payment) And 4 credit cards. only 2 have a balance though. good greif!!!!!! anyway, i figure the 100 bucks i save on gas a month, will just about cover the gap from new higher car payment vs. the blazer's payment.

You really think you'll get 6000 for the trade? Is that anywhere close to the KBB trade value? I definitely understand needing a different car for your life though...I don't think I'd keep the same set up with kids/house/real life payments. I'd take the blazer to carmax and get it appraised, just to start ya off...just say no to all their offerings of minivans and high mileage jeeps

I was just saying that right now, I can justify paying for the low mpg, and putting money into the truck since I'm an unmarried college kid. If I had more pressing expenses like a house (which I will very soon I hope ), I would definitely reconsider driving a 13 mpg beast!

As much as my blazer is Bitchy as of lately....lets see....no car payments...decent gas milage...or big car payment...slightly better gas milage.....minues the ability to tow things..haul things..carry a canoe...and a few kayaks...anything else I decide to do...minus playing in mud...na.....the positives out weigh the negative....I'll probably keep the girl until she finaly dies...(then the man will probably add it to his collection...to be forever fixed and broken)

ha...i traded it in on a 08 focus se. Don't regret it at all. Payments are 50 more a month than my blazer, i will save that in gas EASY. I went 337 miles on 10.5 gallons of gas in the first tank what i would have went on prolly 19 in the blazer already saved 36 bucks in one tank, thats my payment difference in a week. i had to get rid of the 2 door suv anyway, with 2 kids its useless, i never hauled anything, small inside. Glad its gone. you can give me all the crap you want now, i still wont regret my decision!!!!!!!

The new focus's are nice. I like 'em. Hey, at this day and age, anything to save a little money is the tank is a good thing. I don't drive very far every day, so gas isn't an issue for me. Good luck with the Focus. Does it have that thingie in the dash, I forgot what's it called. Drivelink or something. Looks like a cool toy, I would be speed dialing everyone in my phonebook just to try it out lol. Good luck on your new toy!

FORD? I hope the new ford focus is better than the older ones, I know the overall appearance and features are a heck of alot better. But if you like it, that's all that matters. Congrats on the new purchase.....Does that mean you are now a member of a fucus forum? Say that 5 times fast...Ford Focus Forum....LOL
