anyone ever used one of these out on the trails? i used to use dads alot when we did the work on the farm but i was just wonderin if people that dont have winches take one with them?

That's what a local Amish man used when I first got stuck trying to cross the embankment on his road.  Worked like a charm.

Yep.  It's a poor man's winch.  I helped my buddy unstick himself in his 1st gen blazer with one when he dug frame into a mud pit.

I used one once when i got stuck in the snow (funny story) it worked great

I used one and had no luck two guys reefin on it and it was kinda scary so we quit wouldnt move the truck a inch depends how stuck you are i guess

They work great, so long as they''re in good shape...

Or at least the ones my dad had did... Then again, they''re over 20 years old...

i never used one on the trail. i guess i just dont trust mine, but i have used it to pull the axle out of my buddies 00 mazda 626. for some reason the axle wouldnt slip out like it should so we bolted the come along to the wall and the other end to the axle and ripped it out. worked out pretty good

i used to of them hooked together attached to a 40 foot nylon rope to pull my blazer steep hill covered in mudd took awhile but i got there
