Hey! i live outside nashville haha

Reppin the Nolensville! but i live 15 minutes by highway from anywhere, nashville, franklin, brentwood, murfressboro etc, so all my driving is at 50mph (yes i speed on all the 40mph roads... they're little 2 lane roads with no places for cops to hide)

but i just replaced a whole bunch of **** in my blazer, so im getting 20mpg highway and thats all i drive (thats as good as the mpg my fathers 2008 nissan maxima 3.5L v6)

That why MD is kinda of a ****y state to live in because of their  many laws that are enforced .  Maryland and Virginia have be some of the roughest states to drive in law wise and cop wise from my experience. Hell as of right now my tags are from 07 you just got to watch your driving and be responsible

I just pay it.  There isnt much you can do about it.  I try to make smart trips but thats all.  Its really not hurting me at all though.

I luckily only live 2 miles from work. My trucks only gets about 14 mpg if I take it easy, but I never do, so it only gets about 8-10 mpg.

None of us would have bought these trucks had we wanted amazing results from gas mileage, but we did buy them so we really don't have any reason to be complaining. We weren't forced into it. If I truly cared about MPG more than my own personal style than I would have never gotten rid of my Eclipse.

I intend to profit off of it down the road. :D

Though in all seriousness I believe the prices will fall back down a bit after summer.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, that was the funniest thing I have heard all day! Gas is never going to go down significantly and stay there. Just like everything else, it is going to continue to get more and more expensive and never be in the 2 dollar range ever again. Or even close for that matter. I would be suprised if it ever came close to 3.50 again.

Just my opinion, but buying a motorcycle to save money on gas is a bad economic move.  If you are buying a motorcycle because you want one and are using the price of gas to justify it, that''s a whole different story.

When you figure in the cost of the motorcycle, protective clothing, insurance, and the fact that comparable parts for a motorcycle cost MANY times more than for a Blazer, the cost savings just don''t add up.

If you plan to use the motorcycle to commute to work, what will the boss say when you come in soaked to the bone and covered in road splatter.  In most areas of the country there is just not enough good weather to make a motorcycle practical for everyday use.

I''ve been driving a chevy Suburban for the last 5 years so my Blazer will cut my gas bill in half.

I am just justifying buyin a bike with the gas prices come to think of it i have always really wanted one. besides working on a bike is probably much easier then working on my blazer. The weather here in middle tn would allow me to drive many days out of the year

My current employment exists within a 20 miles radius of my home and a once-weekly trip to Lancaster city.  My Wife and I are already sharing a car as my truck has been giving me grief so it would not be an issue to share on foul weather days.  Is riding in the cold worth the savings in gas?  Possibly.  It is true though-a lot of people are panicking.  I have been thinking about a bike for a little while now, I just have not had a good reason until now.

BE AWARE WHEN USING CREDIT/DEBIT WHEN FILLING YOUR TANKS! Gas stations are going to be charging about $0.10/gal on top of what you pay for gas. They are doing this because of higher processing fees from the credit companies. I know in Dearborn, a subburb od Detroit which has the highest middle eastern population out side of the middle east, has been doing this for a few months now. The city i live in started doing it last month. The thing is that you may not even know that you are being charged because the attendent adds it on to your total inside the store. So if you wanna save the extra $2 next time you fill up use cash.

There is a station in downtown Lancaster that has a separate price for cash and credit, however it is advertised.  I do not think a gas station can charge .10/gal MORE without notifying you somehow.

I bought my blazer knowing what gas prices were going to do... but i dont'' have a big commute any more and to me gas is a necessary expense.  I sacrifice other things but not my vehicles.  The average displacement of my two vehicles is 5.0 liters :D   I love it!

Just pay it. You need it. Not much else you can do about it.

Drive easier on the pedal, lol.

It''s about $4.10 to $4.15 around here and I just bought my blazer about 2 months ago so Im just gonna deal with it.  It suck cause I''m in high school and have a crappy job so I have to mow lawns since my insurance is $1600 a year plus gas, but I love my blazer.

It all sucks because as the prices go up, my pay stays the same. I just bought my 98 lt a year ago so I won''t be trading or buying anything anytime soon. Just no vacation for Megan this summer...

My b/f is hurting though, a 97 2dr Tahoe with a 30 some gallon tank and a WRX that requires premium. Glad he listened when I told him to sell his 92 full size blazer
