My cost in the 4dr blazer is 20cents a mile. Which isn''t bad at all. Somehow $20 gets me about 80-100 miles(100 on the highway). My old car used to be .10 cents a mile when gas prices were about 2.50(26-32mpg v6). But I''m not struggling yet. Although I''m moving to Texas in 20 days and I figure it will cost me about $340 in gas to go 1600 miles. Hopefully the blazer will make it. Or I''m SOL

Yeah I was looking at those ninjas, not sure which one to get yet. The 250cc has a new design out which looks nice for 08, the 650 is updated but the way the exhaust is on it drives me nuts, and the 500cc still is a more classic older look, which I don''t think I would want if I was buying it new. I think the 250 will probably work out better for me, I just want to be able to get on the highway, or go a little faster than the moped I have without people getting pissed behind me.

Right now I have an Aprilia SR50 DiTech, which is an awesome moped. It does 50mph, and costs less to operate than a motorcycle (no need for yearly motorcycle plates, or a motorcycle license, or motorcylce insurance {covered under homeowners insurance}, and get 96+ mpg at WOT 50mph). It is a blast to drive in town. Here is a picture.

Very very cool Lenny....if it wouldn''t take me 8 years to get to work I''d buy one of those for myself.

I bought a set of Genmar Risers for mine, since I had the ZX11, I wanted the 250 not to be so race positioned.
I really dont care for the 08''''s.
Watch Ebay, A guy trailered mine 170 miles for $25.
When I bought it, it had 2200 miles on it, paid $2200 for it.
Full coverage was just paid $123 per year.

Check out the dresser, lol.

That would work great for me!  6 mile drive in to work isn''t producing the mileage I''m ecstatic about.

unfortunately thats probably true unless we can stop the hippys from not letting us drill in alaska

Drilling in Alaska won''''t bring down the price of gas at the pump; it will just put a higher percent of profit in the oil companies'''' pockets.

exactly supply and demand more oil, less price at the pump

get the hydro 4000 it works

Seems unusual from the replies I''ve read here but my Blazer gets a very respectable and consistent 22 MPG.  I''d still rather take my Yamaha 550 Maxim, it more than triples that but the towing capacity is somewhat lower.

The costs of a used cycle are minimal if you can do the work yourself, Ive been able to fabricate or find for cheap most of the parts for my bike!  Then again on a 25 year old bike thats sometimes the only option.

Well most people can try what i did. Quit my old job and get one alot closer to home. I was driving 76 miles round trip everyday to my last job. I had my Explorer at the time and was using around $350 to $400 a month in gasoline. I quit and now work less then 3 miles from my front door. I only fill up about once a month.

All I could do is a tune up the engine, replace mud terrain tires to All terrain 31",  easy on the gas pedal and still 500$ gas bill  amonth ( 10$ a galon here)

Get a highway rib for best gas mileage.
A/T''s are a heavy tire which eats gas mileage like crazy.

I lost 5 MPG on the highway going to my 30x9.5 BFG A/T''s
