I picked up a set of 31'' pro comp m/t's. and i know i need to get atleast a 2'' lift. and was getting ready to order the Performance Accessories 2'' body lift from 4wheelparts. and wanted to check here if putting that on will affect my shifter.  none of the guys at work were sure so i figured someone here could help me. any input is appreciated thanks

I'm sure there won't be any problems as the kits are not designated for either auto or manual transmissions.  I know a number of folks have put a bl on their trucks with the 5 speed and never said they had problems.

You may notice your shifter looking a little shorter but other than that ,won''t hurt a thing.

most of the kits I have seen for my first gen, come with a 4x4 shifter entension piece you have to weld on. You also have to cut the floor a bit to be able to shift completely into gear. Not sure which gen you have though
