Hi there, I have a 2001 ZR-2 Blazer, it seems over the years the rust has built up and was looking to remove both pieces to bring them to an autobody to be re-painted. Now a few months back I decided to loosen the bolts slightly just to make sure nothing has seized. My only concern is if I remove the bracket & mount to bring to the autobody to have painted, is there anything inside the body of the Blazer holding these screws/bolts in (ie. nuts & washers) and will I have to take apart the inside interior to re assemble everything back together...any info. will be appreciated...
Thanks

Yeah there is nuts welded to the body from the inside. No you don''t have to take apart your interior, just unscrew the six bolts and carefully take the whole assembly off... that''s all there is to it ;)

Be sure to grease the bolts before you put everything back together (never-seize grease works great)

Hope this helps!
