What would a throttle body spacer really do for my 98 blazer b/c Ive read some outlandish claims?

They are just that-outlandish claims.  Check out the related threads below for more info but the consensus is that our engines already have lots of low end power.  Adding a spacer will only bring the power curve down at the expense of top end.
