Okay, so I''ve dropped the transponder idea because I don''t have AU0. But! I was wondering if I could pull out the lock cylinder of the glove box and have a key made for it. The guy never gave me a door key.

You can take it to a Chevy dealer and they can make you a key based on the VIN number.  It''s a little expensive, but it''s the best way to have it done.

The nearest dealer that I can think of... is 10 miles away perhaps... I''ll see about it.

sounds like the dealer would be your best option, unless you really want to do all the work of changing out the door locks with junkyard stuff.

I went to a locksmith and had one made using the original cylinder for $13.00. Call around, most locksmiths can do this provided they have an Impressioning tool.
