I have a 1980 K5 that has a rear window crank for the back glass. It has broke and needs to be replaced. Has any one removed the crank from the tailgate. If so Please let me know how to remove it so I can replace the crank/

You need to release the snap ring that holds the crank on.  You can buy a tool to help with this.
