heres the rules to "trespassing" if there is sign saying no trespassing at EVERY entrance you can be arrested with out being asked to leave if there are only a couple of sign(depends on state on how many) you say you didn''t see any signs and say you will leave if there is no sign you can be "asked" to leave and if you don''t or are cought there again you can be arrested

Yeah, i would definetely pay attention to those signs. The best way is to ask the owner or city if you can. Funny story, did that once and there was no sign, after 3 hours of driving i popped out of the bush in some guys back yard. Not the best way to get acquainted, but he was ok about it and gave me his number in case something happened, but it could have ended badly.

Logging trails are all technicaly private property...they are made for the logging trucks...unless there are no tresspassing signs..you are alowed to go where ever you want...however...you really have to be on the look out for logging trucks..and heavy machinery..don''t get your truck stuck in the middle of the road...or it won''t be there when you come back for it....private property and all....otherwise..have fun!

Imagine popping up in some hillbillys backyard looking down the barrel of a shot gun... that would NOT be a fun trip in the woods... but it would make one hell of a story

ORIGINAL: chevyrules05 heres the rules to "trespassing" if there is sign saying no trespassing at EVERY entrance you can be arrested with out being asked to leave if there are only a couple of sign(depends on state on how many) you say you didn''''''''t see any signs and say you will leave if there is no sign you can be "asked" to leave and if you don''''''''t or are cought there again you can be arrested That''''s not necessarily true. It is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to know if land is private property or not. There is an area that used to be heavily used by offroaders, dirtbikes, etc. around my neighbourhood and they have closed it down. It has always been private property, but now it is being enforced. You are fined on site if they catch you there, no exceptions, even if you didn''''t see any signs. I am pretty sure it is the enforcing offcier''''s choice whether they want to fine you right away or warn you. It is a sad state of affairs for offroading enthusiasts as our trails are being reclaimed by snowmobile organizations, land is being closed and labeled as conservation areas, and it is being more strictly enforced on private areas. Clubs like my local one follow the Tread Lightly priciples, yet the one bad apple that goes out and damages the land makes a bad name for all of us. If you plan to go offroading, check stuff out first to ensure you don''''t get yourself in a situation where you are being fined, ignorance is not a defense! And most importantly, ALWAYS TREAD LIGHTLY! Leaving the area looking the same or better than when you left it is always the best choice.
