i have an 86 s10 blazer slammed on the ground, i put a 3.8 liter 229 ci  bored .40 over edelbrock aluminum intake, mild cam, and stock heads, edelbrock 650 cfm i was wondering if this motor would handle a 16g turbo only using 8 lbs. of boost.

thanks

What are you running for compression ratio?

You really should try to figure it out even if it is just an estimate.  If you are looking to run 8psi or more, you need to be down around 8.5:1 CR or you''ll be putting some mighty expensive gas in!

Head/piston/rod/crank specs would get you close.

If most all of those components are stock, you are probably looking at 9:1 to 9.5:1 CR.  Depending on programming, you may be ok, but you would definitely have to get a good tune!
