Yeah, this was a request...  Seems polls aren''t working yet...

Strap - 2
Chain - 0

redneck2725 -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/23/2008 5:15:54 PM)

Strap 100% of the time. Chains are way to easy to break and cause serious damage to vehicles and people. I have a smaller 10,000 strap for small work, and a 30,000 Pro Comp strap for larger jobs.

bad350v8s10tahoe -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/23/2008 5:26:03 PM)

Strap, i have seen chains do wicked things to rigs and heard of deadly chain incidents with people too [&:]

Strap, without the metal hooks on the end.

cliro -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/23/2008 8:54:45 PM)

strap...  straps store the energy needed to be pulled (resistance) chains don''t

pbishop -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/24/2008 7:55:31 AM)

Strap.  They dont rust.

m00nwater -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/24/2008 8:38:18 AM)

Strap. They don''t cause damage to trees when you have to wrap around them. And they don''t cause damage to people or vehicles as much when they break.

blazinrebel -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/24/2008 9:51:16 AM)

definitly straps because i have witnessed a chain snap and smash through someones front grill and crack the radiator. if someone was standing there they would have been seriously hurt. straps dont kill!

El_Beautor -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/29/2008 11:26:49 AM)

Straps definitly. A good snap strap acts kinda like a rubber band, allowing a good jerk, absorbing some of the impact and then using that elastic energy to aid in the recovery. Way better and safer than chains. Easier and lighter to carry too.

Blazin NC -> RE: Strap or Chain (6/29/2008 11:32:36 AM)
