Okay, I pulled up to a stoplight today and the truck died and then my check engine comes on. I go to the local parts store and told them about it and they said try a fuel filter, Replaced it and that didn''''''''t stop it. So I ran the truck again and when the Check Engine Light came on I pulled out my trusty paper clip and pulled a code 32. Which from my research tells me something about EGR. My uncle thinks it has something to do with the spark plugs or wires so I''''''''m going to test those. Anyone else have ideas?

The truck has a mind of its on when it comes to throttle, the engine jumps and the throttle wants to drive the truck itself, it''''''''ll go and stop, and stop and go. And also the engine almost dies out and picks right back up. It smells heavily of fuel. I think it may be the engine retarding the fuel to spark mixture. I''''''''m not sure. Anyone else have any ideas? It''''''''s the 4.3 liter VORTEC engine in a 1994 GMC Jimmy.

EDIT: I have another symptom, the brakes are extremely hard to press down while idling. Almost like there is very little movement for it and when the engine dies, I have no brakes lol.
EDIT 2: Another symptom. Today I jumped under the hood and started to tighten down the spark plugs and make sure they were tight, also plugged the wires in really tight. Everything looked good, started it up and now there is a hissing from my distributor cap. Yesterday I removed the VORTEC cover and the mass air sensor from the center of the plenum but everything was nice and tight when I put it back. So I don''t think it''s the sensor.

all you need to do is clean your EGR that will fix the one problem, Carbon usually builds up and can lead to problems such as rough idle, stalling, stiff brakes, I went through the same problem and cleaning the EGR fixed my problem

Some good news finally. Thanks man. I appreciate that. I''m searching around for the instructions for it and this is what I ran into: http://www.blazerforum.com/m_147250/tm.htm

So tomorrow my truck gets a tune-up with AC Delco plugs, accel or autolite wires, cap and rotor. An oil change. Cleaning the EGR and dropping a bottle of fuel injecting cleaner in it.

I''ll let you know how it goes.

HA take that GM. All done.

Got up at 10 and didn''t finish until 4. Started with removing the EGR and soaking it in throttle cleaner to remove a lot (I mean a lot) of carbon. Then started with the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Then went back to the EGR and fought and fought with the fscking bolts to get them on and finally it started. She runs great guys. All in all, a total of 51 dollars at the local parts store and a great running truck. I''m happy, bruised and sore, but happy.

Thanks for the help guys.
