Yep that beatiful blazer you guys saw a few weeks ago is now destroyed. A girl ran a red light and I t-boned her, but the police couldn''''t find anyone at fault, because they couldn''''t tell if she was in the intersection when it turned yellow. There was also a witness that said I had the green, but the insurance companies are duking it out righjt now and will most likely have to pay out of our pockets.

Good news: Engine is still intact

Bad news: Frame is bent, needs a new radiator

I already started tearing it apart and will post pictures as soon as I get my camera. But I''''ll be posting pictures as the project comes along, I have to have a car before college.

Man that sucks.

Doesn''t look too bad though.  A little time on a frame machine, some new sheetmetal, a coat of paint and it should be good to go again!

That''s pretty much it. I pulled off all the fenders and radiator support yesterday, so it''s pretty much ready to go to the frame shop. But finding all the body parts I need is my next challenge.

It doesn''t look bad at all! if you can''''t find that one part you are missing go to LMC Truck. you could build a whole new truck from there cataloge

I have more than this done but here are some pics of the tear down. I''ll get better ones next time we pull it out, which will probably be on the way to the frame shop. By the way that''s as far right as it can turn.

That blows! Sounds like what I went through when I was young with a ''73 El Camino. A State dump truck pulled out in front of me. It totaled the El Cam, but we weren''t hurt. Of course it wasn''t their fault, and I wasn''t sited. But I had a totaled El Camino. :( I striped it and sent it to the bone yard. My aunt graciously helped me by another El Camino. Best wishes to get rolling again.

You''ll be alright. Once the frame is straightened out and new parts are found, your truck should be fine and ready to go again.

BTW, if you need stock parts go here. www.newgmparts.com

They''ll have everything you''ll need.

We went to the junk yard the other day and got a hood, a bumper, a pretty new looking radiator (we decided to take a chance), and a few other little things. We just started doing body work on the hood and fenders today.

Kind of weird but I just went to that website to look around and they don''t have Blazers from 2000 to 2002

man you got lucky! well, luckier than me. When mine was t-boned, it was on the drivers side, both doors were pushed in like 6" and pushed the b-pillar in, and compressed the floor pan and roof. Man, I wish I would have gotten hit in the fender :/ owell

That sucks after you did all that work to her to get her driving. She will be up and running in no time with that progress.

I cant believe there was that little body damage, but the frame took the most of the beating. When I bought my parts car, the frame wass in perfect condition, but the whole passanger side body was a disaster.
