4wd rims

will rims off a 4wd s10 fit a 2wd s10?

could not get a clear answer in the search.

if not what could i do to get them to fit.

You will need to use spacers to get the proper backspacing.  2wd rims have ~4.5" BS and 4wd rims have ~6" BS.

Dumb Question:

Backspacing is from the interior or exterior of the rim when you measure it?

Rear Spacing = Back Spacing. The outside of the wheel is on the right and the inside is on the left

Thanks and nice pic.  Im more of a visual guy so that helps.  And Im sorry i looked at the question wrong too, i went the opposite way (which a guy i worked with before did, thats why i said it fit) from 2wd to 4wd.  As Ricky would say "Two birds get stoned at once" (trailer park boys).

You would need some sort of 5lug to 6lug adapter (5x4.75 to 6x5.5) in order for them to fit. I''ve seen several 5lug-5lug adapters on ebay that would change the bolt pattern from 5x4.75 to 5x5.5 or something close to that but I''ve never seen any kind of 5lug-6lug adapter available...

An adapter would be a spacer, if you''ve ever seen a standard wheel spacer, just imagine that but with the lugs futher out (or in, depending on what kind of adapter it is) from the center...

like swartlkk said, you need spacers to make them fit at the same place.  1.5" spacers are what you need.  I got some for the rear of my truck for 30 bucks each at an autoparts.
