I went offroading today...thought I would play around with the 4wd and make sure it all works .  Also wanted to see what it was like to go wheelin'''' WITH NO TIRE RUB thanks to the body lift I just put on .

I went on a couple bulldozer trails, played in the dirt, and just had a fun time.  Nothing too hard since I was by myself.

This is an early pic but it gives you an idea of where I was and what I was driving on:

Then on my way out, I decided I would drop down this hill and cut through some dirt just to play with the 4lo on the hills.  Big mistake.  I dropped down the slope fine, but no sooner had it leveled out...that my front end sunk.

Nothing even that tough
I tried rocking and turning and everything...still stuck.  All I did was fill the valence and front end parts with mud.

So thankfully this guy Mark came by and helped me out.  He got his buddy Justin with a Wrangler on 33s with a winch to get me out....funny thing was...the Jeep wasn''''t strong enough to get me.  So Mark went back and got his Z71 Tahoe and yanked me out after we dug down under the frame, wheels, and front end.
The Tahoe just kinda wrangled me up the hill...it was a fun ride

And a couple of pics back on pavement

And to give you and idea of the slope/mud/my afternoon, the little bro got a video of the aftermath on YouTube.

So to recap:  Remember there were 4 days of straight rain before diving into a low area...have a big truck on speed dial...anndd carry a shovel

Edit: fixed video link.

Yeah, it sucks you got stuck, but what I dont understand is why they camouflaged the mud.  Its just cruel to hide it with grass like that.

I can''t believe that with all the rain we have been getting that only your tires are muddy. Funny though. BTW your new b.l. looks good.

A little mud on the truck looks good, lack of clearance bit ya on that it seems.  Good to have some help come by when you need it.

I was kinda amazed that the wrangler couldn''t get me out on it''s own.  I never really thought of ''em as whimpy
