Fuel Filter Brand Recommendations - 7/19/2008 4:51:01 PM

So I am needing to replace the fuel filter on my blazer, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a brand. I have been looking at ACDelco, but they are quite expensive, especially since I could get a cheap filter from my local auto parts store for about $5. I know for some parts, some brands are definitely better than others. Is there really a big difference in brands when it comes to a fuel filter? Anyone have experience one way or the other? I don''t want to spend more than I have to, but I also don''t want to be cheap. If it''s important, I''d rather spend the money for a quality filter, than have problems with a cheap one.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would have to say that AC/Delco, Wix, or Purolator would be my three choices.

The best you''''ll buy, when it comes to amount of filter media inside, would be Wix, then Purolator...   the rest I don''t even consider.  I have a 94 S-Blazer and I used Wix on mine.  Took all of 5 mins and some line wrenches to change out.
