The rear differential on my 94 is leaking and I''m pretty sure its leaking from the pinion seal.  I was wondering if this was an easy fix or if its a job best done at a shop?

What is your mechanical background/ability?  It really isn''t all that difficult to replace, but does require the removal of the front yoke.

After reading/talking to a couple of people I don''t think its above my ability level.  I read the chilton manual and they list a couple of special tools; pinion holder/remover and seal installer.  Are these necessary, or can it be done with out them?
