I was just so excited at this late night deal I had to post up, I just bought a set of  31 inch Michelin X Radial LT''s 10.5 wide off a girl on craigslist for 150$.

I''ll get them mounted this weekend and post pictures. Yes, stock suspension here and no lift, and after evulating all the threads here, I was going to buy a new set of 30 BFG A/T''s but a friend found the 31s and talked me into it. And some of you say it will rub and a few of you say no problem. So I guess I''ll find out for myself this Saturday. Either way, they are brand freaking new and 150 is cheaper than 575 for 4 new ones.

hey, I''m froogle with my money.

Great find. I''m jealous. If you haven''t read this its a good one about tire sizes. Basically you need about 2" of lift to properly clear 31" tires. 2" shackles are cheap, or an add-a-leaf can be had for under $100. And you could probably get close to 2" with a t-bar crank. With the money you saved it should be easy to clear those nice new shoes.

Yea I read that thread thoroughly. And there are still a few people in it, who say you don''''t need a lift to fit 31s. I guess I will find out today. I''m leaving in about 15 to go get them mounted. If they rub, well then......

... and they fit ...... only if I drive my car in a straight line and never plan on turning.

So, they don''t fit. So, 2inchs? Although the guys at Pungo Off-Road seemed to think I need 3inchs of clearance.

Well, I thought just maybe, but apparently not. The only way to fit them is to lift it, or trim it and I''m not really ready to trim. And I''m not too serious about a big lift. So maybe a 2 or 3inc body lift.

you can try 2" shackles and a t-bar crank... as well or instead of the body lift.  There are decent shackles from 3leaffab.com  I just got mine today.

I have 31s with a 2" add-a-leaf lift (I wanted a bit firmer in the back for pulling a trailer) and about 1.5" of t-bar crank, and I had to bend in the bottom of the front fender a tiny bit. Since I bent the bottom corners I haven''t had it rub, but I haven''t been off road yet either.

You''''re wheel wells seem smaller than mine are, but I have a 96 blazer, so maybe that''''s what is making it look different.
