Is there anything I can do to make my stock 85 Blazer have more power. On the freeway I have the pedal to the metal and I sit there and wait for the thing to get up to speed, it is rediculously slow. I have had the truck for a few months and it is the most slugish car I have ever owned. It is the 2.8 L V6 but come on it is weak. I think the truck has 240,000 miles on it. Had compression checked at a shop and they said it was fine, but I think they meant all cylinders are about the same, they didn''t say what the compression was. What should the compression be anyway? Recently had a tune up done and an oil change. Also had a brand new timing chain put on, but that made no difference. Is it something with the carb? Vent hoses? Fuel, fuel pump, fuel filters? Exhaust manifold leak?
