I might be posting this in the wrong section so if I am I apologize. I am about to put a new engine in my Blazer. I have been looking at all the options for the 4.3 and it seems to me it might be better to swap to the V-8. I have read post here that say its a fairly easy swap from a Vortec V-6 to a Vortec V-8. I have a 96 4.3 and would like to swap it with a Vortec V-8 from the same year or close to. From what Ive read it seems like I just need the computer and the and will have to add 2 wires for the extra cylinders and extend some of the others. Can anybody tell me what all this swap will require and where I might get some guidance on how to do it? Thanks.
