When I put my truck in 4hi or 4 lo I get some crazy weird sounds from something from front end and it sounds like both my front tiresare goin crazy and makes aloud rumble''n noise and rumbles the car. Also when I drive it normally it get a rattle from maybe front differential? or transfer case as if something is loose or broke off in there but when i accelerate it seems to go away, just usally loud when im parked....any ideas??/ thankss

Does it make the grind when you try to use 4hi or 4lo on pavement? Usually the binding only happens when the wheels cannot slip (which is the only time you should ever be using 4wd) such as on pavement or very hard dirt. Also when switching from 4wd back to 2hi, make sure you let the axles do a couple turns in reverse to fully disengage the hubs. I''ve bound up before when leaving the dirt because the hubs were still locked in.

And we''re going to need some more info on your every day rattle...can you feel it? Or just hear it? Does it effect performance?

The grinding happens on anything im driving on; i tried it when i was on snow and just rumbles my car and like it shakes really hard and it seems the front two are going to brake off if i even dare to keep it on four wheel drive for longer then 5 seconds.

and the rattle noise i cant really feel it i just hear it and it doesnt seem to effect the performence, from wat it almost sounds like something broke off that would keep the front two tires intact when im in 4x4 broke off and just floating around in maybe the front differential or transfer case

Sounds like the front axle actuator is trying to engage the front axle, but not quite getting there.
