94 s10blazer, 4.3 auto. the problem is it wont start without either or unless it has been running and you turn if off, it will start back up. but when its cold or hot but been sitting for about 30min it wont start back up. i checked fuel pressure it''s 58. it has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor about 3k miles ago. runs fine after it starts up. i''m thinking maybe worn out timing chain but wanted to get some other opinions before i tear apart the front of the motor. also it just started this a couple days ago, didnt gradually happen, just started happening instantly.

I unpluged all the sensors on the moter and pluged them back in, made sure everything wasnt'' loose and now it starts up just fine. what sensor does the motor need to start up but doesn''t matter when driving?

oil pressure switch or a knock sensor or maybe even a temp sensor? i had the same prob on a 90 honda accord. i couldnt get it started on its own w/o starting fluid. turned out to be the coolant temp and the oil press sensor....
