Mainly shock differences, but some were heavier for towing, some heavier sway bars or simply the inclusion of the rear sway bar.  There is very little information on the different packages, but if you could track down a sales brochure, it should have some of that information in it.

You can find your suspension package by decoding the RPO codes located on the label inside your glove box.

CPI is wrong as it is the SCFI motor.  CPI was the earlier 4.3L used until 95.

About the suspension...  Don''t know.  That is what my old Bravada had.

well i used a rpo checker from an s10 site. i just copied and pasted. but my blazer is a 98.and i also read on Wikipedia that there was a

1996-2005 - 4.3 L Vortec 4300 V6, CSFI, 195 hp (130 kW)/250  ft·lbf (332 N·m) (VIN W)

and

1996-1999 - 4.3 L Vortec 4300 V6, CSFI, 170 hp (134 kW)/240  ft·lbf (325 N·m) (VIN X)

what would have been the purpose of the 2 engines? and what would have put one in a blazer. what was there application?

Only difference between the two was programming.  The vin X was never offered in the Blazer.
