well i got sick of the hacked together exhaust on the super 'scort so i thought id do it the right way. i ordered 2 1/2' tubing, a couple of mandrel u bends, a catco high flow cat, and a dnx twin muffler. i think i may have over done it with the 2 1/2 tubing from the header back, but it should look and sound cool...i hope. the down side is...i could have spent the 300 bones on the noma. this is what it should sound like anyways http://www.dynomax.com/audio/track19.wav we'll see this sunday

As long as the wife is happy, then you'll be happy.

well i finally fabbed up the exhaust today! and it sounds sweet! a real deep powerful tone...kinda like the cars got balls, but it don't. its pretty cool that my boss builds Busch series cars on the weekends so i get to use his nice, roomy, and well equipped shop (and heated mmmm...heat). im definatly getting a dnx muffler for the 'noma.

yeah, its a lot less stressful being in a big heated shop. it was all done before i knew it. i didn't have to keep going inside to warm up every 5 minutes.

ok, i guess it sounds too good! yesterday my wife got pulled over and she had no idea why. the cop said the exhaust was too loud. then she played the helpless little girl act and said, "my husband did something to the car, but i don't know what. its too loud for me...i don't like it. what can i do to make it quieter?" and he said, "theres something you can put in the end of the exhaust...i think its called a sound dullerer or something." yes he actually said a "sound dullerer". my wife was biting her lip trying not to laugh at him. anyways, she got off with only a verbal and sent on her way. so i guess i got to find a sound dullerer now...

Dullerer? Uh, DER!

I hear you on the getting stopped for stupid reasons...try Jeeps...my girlfriend has one and the stories I hear from the guys in her club are ridiculous! It's like they have it out for big trucks and offroading stuff or something. I mean, they'll stop you for your exhaust being too loud, but they will let these old beater rust buckets fly by stinking like rotten eggs because their converter is gone or something...stupid bacon!
