Which vehicles came with the autotrac transfer case?  Starting with what year?  Then was it an option or standard for the remaining years?  How do the layout on the dash differ from the stand 4x4 features?

Do you mean the single speed AWD transfer case, or the Auto4wd transfer case?  The AWD transfer case extended down into the 1st gens and started with the 1st generation Bravada.  This transfer case put 70% of the power to the rear axle and 30% to the front all of the time.  In 1998, the Stabilitrac moniker started which used active AWD in the Bravada and other s-series suvs if so ordered from the factory.  It was not a very well known option for the Chevy/GMC variants.  The Auto4wd transfer case was offered in 1998 as well.  This offered the clutch drive of the AWD transfer case with the 2 speed operation (HI & LO ranges).
