or it could be something totally diferent. I would find what code it is before attempting to pin point the problem.

AutoZone or Advance Auto will read the codes for you for free.

You may have a fun time getting the codes read. If you have the OBD1 connector, then you may be able to do a simple paper clip trick and watch the check engine light. It will blink out the code. Refer to TroubleCodes.net for the code descriptions as well as a picture of what an OBD1 diagnostic port looks like. As the link above suggests though, some 95 blazers may not be able to be checked with out the proper scan tool. Most autoparts stores do not have the proper scan tool for checking these intermediary PCMs that were used in this year only. If you have the OBD2 diagnostic port, then good luck getting the codes read. The DLC is located under the driver side dash. Here is what an OBD2 DLC looks like:

BLACK DEATH Get a handy little OBD 1 GM Code Reader and go by the instruction booklet that is included with it. I bought mine at Amazon but I have only used it twice. They cost about $25 and it plugs into to your OBD 1 port below the steering collum. Just like the paper-clip method, the GM Code Reader grounds the appropriate terminal connections and starts the SES light flashing. At first, the SES light will give you one flash, a pause and two flashes which is Code 12, meaning it is receiving data. It will repeat Code 12 three times. Then comes the trouble codes. The SES light will flash the trouble codes three times also, if the ECM has any trouble codes stored and apparently yours does.. If I was a bettin'''' man, I would place my money on the infamous OBD-1 Code 32 (three flashes - pause - two flashes) repeated three times. That means the intake manifold EGR passages are stopped up with carbon which causes the EGR valve to malfunction. Replacing the EGR valve may or may not solve that problem. Most S/T-10 Blazers with more than 100,000 miles on the clock have that problem. You can ignore OBD-1 Code 32 if you wish because the SES light will go away when you turn off the igniton switch for 10 seconds or more. However, the code or codes are stored in the ECM until the ignition switch is turned off a few times and then they are erased. Some experts say 50 times but I have never went back to check for Code 32 after my SES light quit coming on. My blazer has never thrown any other coes except Code 32. The common OBD-1 Code 32 SES light comes on after yu drive at a 60 or 70 MPH for three or four miles. That is caused by carbon build up in the EGR passages in the intake manifold. I cleaned mine out by getting on the open road (or freewway) and driving at high speeds (at least above 80 MPH) for five or ten miles. I repeated the high speed procedure five times and have not seen a SES since. The SES light will eventually quit coming on after you drive a high speed because you will "blow the carbon out" as they say, which will allow the EGR valve to function properly and it will stop sending malfunction signals to the ECM. Driving a low speeds to work and back every day for a extended periods of time causes the carbon in the EGR passages to build up. Start using NAPA or Wal-Mart "High Milage" motor oil, that helps reduce carbon build up after a few oil changes. Don''''t worry about using generic type oil, because all of it is made by the major oil companies and marketed under store brands. It should have API codes SJ, SH . I use NAPA High Milage 10W-40 motor oil which is identical to Valvoline MaxLife motor oil. I drive my Blazer at high speed occasionally just to blow out the carbon and the "black smoke out the exhaust pipe" problem has been nearly eliminated.

ORIGINAL: Blazin_1t_up obd1.....so its gonna be hard..... All depends, try the paper clip trick between pins A & B (refer to illustration from Troublecodes.net). If it does not work or you do not have both A & B in the DLC, then you possibly have the OBD1.5 PCM which is a royal pain to read codes from. OBD2 scanners for the most part do not work and neither do OBD1 scanners.
