I just got my blazer as a ride for the winter (the 4X4). and i am looking to learn all i can about them.

so i have reached my first BIG challenge i want to put a double DIN indash navi unit. but i understand that i only have a DIN and a Half and its very shallow.

In a 96 the mounting hole is shallow, but with a bit of trimming you can get almost another inch of depth. Be careful though, there''s a fairly major wire harness running back there, so don''t just start chopping away. As for mounting a double din head unit, it all depends on how creative you are with fabricating a new mounting system. I''m working on something similar at the moment.
