I hope someone can help shed some light on my situation.  I have a 96 blazer 4dr 4.3L with 282,000 miles on it.  A few months ago the fuel pump went and I replaced it.  I was on my way to the beach with the family and after 105 miles of trouble free driving I hit some traffic and the truck stalled.  It wouldn''t start back up and it felt like there was no gas. I got it off the road and about 30 minutes later I was able to get it started.  Another 1/4 mile of traffic and it died again.  I had it towed home and my mechanic couldn''t find anything wrong.  A month later on my next long drive I got 80 miles and the same thing happened.  Letting it cool down for 20-30 minutes will let it start again.  I can still do my daily commute, but the longer drives cause it to die on me.  Is it possible that the fuel pump itself is overheating?  The fuel pump is still under warranty and I can replace it but I would really like to know for sure what is causing this. I love the truck but can''t trust it to get me where I am going.

Any info is appreciated.
