I am unsure as to which set points I should enter when reprogramming my mostly stock Chev. Blazer. To be more specific, at exactly what set points should the rev limiter and shift points be set at to get the best performance without compromise elsewhere?
The same question goes for shift firmness. If I didn''t instal an aftermarket shift kit, then would any percentage set point be safe to use without a chance of damaging the transmission?

Since you have not done anything to the motor, you have not altered its performance curve at all so any change will only bring a marginal gain.  If you had a dyno curve to go by, you should set your shift points up such that you maximize the area under the HP curve.

You should be fine for the settings available in the tuner as far as shift firmness goes.

Thanks Kyle, now I''m just wondering if your response would have been any different had I elaborated on what I meant by "mostly stock Blazer". I have already added a transmission cooler, cold air intake, and a throttle body fitting.

No, not really.  None of those items change the characteristics of the motor enough to make any change in what you have access to any better.  Shift points are a vehicle by vehicle thing.  Unless you are changing the HP curve a lot, gains will be minimal.  If you have the time to spend and the means to test and tune, go for it.
