I got bored the other day so I went and looked for something to do to my Jimmy. I decided to take off the roof rack just to see what it looked like and I think it turned out well. I just unscrewed the 8 bolts holding it to the roof, took the roof rack off, and then screwed the bolts back into the hole. It has 8 little knobs on top of the roof but unless your right next to it you cant notice. Im going to get them shaved off along with the 3rd brake light once I get my new hood so I can get it all painted the same time. Here are some pictures, I think with the roof rack gone it looks way cleaner.

Im gonna take mine off just to sand and repaint. Honestly I think it looks naked w/o those on there. But in your case i think it looks pretty good.

what makes it look good is that you have the larger tires which helps it to stand out in a crowd, if you little rims and tires it wouldnt look right.. if it was an xtreme like mine without the rack with wide tires then it looks good..  stance of the veh has alot to do with the surroundings of whats on it.. a nice push bar maybe on it would kill some of the shininess of the grille with sum driving lights.. now ya just need a blazer forum sticker from TBB!!!!

Looks clean! If I''m not mistaken isn''t taking off your third brake light illegal or something?

Yeah it is illegal, but I never took it off.. haha. When I do shave the roof Im gonna find some way to mount it cleaner.

FWIW, My third brake light doesn''t work and I recently passed TX state inspection. The guy mentioned something about it but said it was no big deal...
