1974 K5 Blazer - New York - $500 - 9/13/2008 10:00:21 AM    thh200   Posts: 3 Joined: 9/13/2008 Status: offline 1974 K5 Blazer 350 V8 Total mileage unknown. I estimate mileage at around 200,000 since I bought it in 1996, but I don''t know how many times the odometer went around before that. The engine was rebuilt in 1999, and has around 150,000 miles on it since (from 2003-2006, the truck was on blocks). 33 inch tires and a couple inches of lift to accommodate. It has the locking hub kit to toggle from 2- to 4-wheel drive. The top comes off up to the windshield and there''s a welded-pipe roll cage from behind the front seats to behind the rear bench. There''s a fair amount of rust and a number of other issues, including loose steering and a busted exhaust pipe. It''s been a great truck for me over the years, but it''s extremely unsuitable for daily use in the city and I don''t have the time or resources to fix it up. I''d prefer to see it go to somebody looking for a project than to a junkyard. Any reasonable offer will be considered. Thing that is killing me now is that I get home from work at 5:15pm.  Kids go to bed at 7:00PM.  I have around 100 minutes a day to mess with the doors right now and I have no time to get down to dad''s to work on the body.  Hopefully once winter gets here other things will calm down and allow me some more time for the Chevelle. About this Blazer.  Is it drivable now?  Could it be driven up onto a flatbed for hauling?  Do the doors close good?  Is the interior complete?  Does the frame have rust problems? The Blazer is driveable, I''ve had it out to Orient Point and up to Phoenicia this summer. The doors work just fine, but there is some rust on the driver''s side floor. I''ll get some photos of that when the sun''s up tomorrow and forward them along with the rest. Unfortunately, I''m working with a camera phone, but hopefully the details will be sharp enough.
