Nope.  I use 5W-30 just like GM told me to use.

Well I put some of this miracle german castrol oili in my blazer. Right off the bat I noticed the engine was quiter and also gained oil pressure. 10-15 psi on startup and when the motor is hot at a stop light the pressure is 10-12psi higher when idling hot.

Did you run synthetic before you put this kind in?

Whether he used synthetic or not before this oil wont make a difference. Unless you are trying to cover up some engine problem, I wouldnt use the thicker oil. I use 5w-30 just like it says.

I don''t know cause when I put my mobil 1 full synthetic it made the same things he''s describing happen to my engine, it was quieter and everything ran smoother. That''s why I''m asking because if he already had synthetic in, and this oil made even more of a difference I''d want to know. Otherwise if this is the first time he put synthetic in, it seems to be just like any other synthetic oil.
