I recently bought a 96 Blazer with the 4.3 motor to fix for my daughter.  The engine had been torn down as far as the block and everything thrown in the back. My guess was when they ran into the plastic injector lines being broken.  I have done a valve job replaced the injectors and put it back together, but I have a bracket (stamped steel # 15724378) left over that I can''t find a place for.   It is kind of a modified "c" shape with a tail where it bolted to something.

I will try to get an image of it.  Any ideas where this might go ?

Thanks

This is just a guess from memory. But it looks like it be to what goes on the box that is under the drivers side rear bumper end. I think it might be something to do with emision stuff,,,,but I dont know. Take a look under the fuel door and see if there is a square box. That might be the mounting bracket. Again,,,just a guess.

Thanks, It does look like it, but it only has the one hole. It was in a bucket with the pwr. steering pump, air cond. compressor, large cast bracket to hold those and a bag full of nuts and bolts. The guy I got it from said it came off the motor somewhere.

Thanks again for trying though.

Thanks, I had noticed one of the exhaust bolts was a stud. I didn''t know which hole it was used on, but now that you said this I moved it to the front hole on that side and everything works out.  I appreciate it.
