I pulled the motor on my 2000 blazer because I thought I had a rod knock but now I am not so sure, I took off the pan and number 3 was real sloppy I know that they are suppose to move back and forth alittle but this is bad, so I took off the cap and the bearing was worn but the crank looked good if I just replace the bearings on all rods what do you think? Also I am wondering if maybe I have a bad knock sensor or a balance shaft issue as the vehicle only has 50000 miles on it. I got it from my brother and it would not start because it needed an tune up he only drives about 2 miles a day that is why the low mileage anyhow he filled the motor with gas trying to start it and when a friend of his tuned it up he did not change the oil for like 2 months so this is why I thought it had a rod knock. thanks.
