Hey guys, I am noticing a oil or like a hot grease smell after i go up a hill to a friends house, Only when i get out of my blazer i smell it. Its not real strong but its there .Any other time i dont smell that,only after going up big hills. There is nothing leaking anywhere , everything is dry ??

Hmmm. Strange.

How many miles are on it? I would say that if nothing is leaking, and only happening on big hills, then the motor must be over working itself.

Alll my friends live in LoW places. lol


Could be oil pooling in a flat spot and draining off onto a hot part going up the hill.

Check your exhaust cross over pipe for signs of oil dripping on it. It will burn off, however it will give the odor you speak of. But yet, when you stop the heat of the exhaust pipe will have burnt off the oil. Check inside the tranny cover to see if there is any fluid.
