Would the K5 blazer be the way to go for winter time? What years does the K5 have AWD if it does?

I am not aware of any K5''s that have AWD in the typical sense. If it is a 4wd K5, then that is all you need. When conditions get slick, pull it into 4WD and go. My ''74 K5 is fulltime 4WD with manual locking hubs. Without the hubs locked in, it really is only 2WD even though the front axle is being driven by the transfer case. Horribly inefficient, but dead nuts reliable. The newer ones have 2wd only modes where the front axle is disengaged at both the front diff and the transfer case, increasing efficiency.
