Hello,
My son replaced the Quadraject carburetor in his 1985 K5 Blazer with a Demon carburetor. But he did not reconnect the TV cable to the carburetor right away, and drove the Blazer about 40 miles before beginning to experience a problem. The problem is that it stays in first far to long, and shifts from 1st to 3rd, skipping 2nd. He has since installed a Bowtie Overdrive TV cable kit for the Demon carburetor, adjusted the cable, but the problem remains (unchanged).
Think he's damaged the 700R4 transmission running without the TV cable connected?
