well my original plan was to sell the k5 s**tbox and get an astro as a daily driver/dragger. but i guess these are getting pretty rare. so i found a couple of old body style s10 blazers in my area for cheap and i was wondering what to look out for. i know you 1st gen blazer owners may have some tips for me on what to pay close attention to when i go look at them. such as areas that rot on all of them, certain leaks, or any problem areas these trucks known for. i know the 2nd gens inside and out, but ive never had experience with a first. thanks fellas. drag on!

Yeah I have buddy here in town that has a ZX2. He's got a wall with 4 15's in the back, bags/cylinders, lambo doors, it's pretty sweet for an Escort, lol.

Keep us updated on the Escort and the Blazer. I know this is a Blazer forum but I'm kinda interested in the Escort buildup too, lol

holy ****, that sounds sweet! ask him if it was tough to mount the cylinders? i have 0 experience with them, and no clue what needs to be done. im gonna try to use the stock upper mount and fab up a lower, but i don't know what to expect. you got to get a picture of that thing! and i promised myself that i wouldn't do anything to the blazer till i get the escort and sonoma done...but its going to be hard to resist. mabye i can just crank down the torsion bars and throw some blocks in the rear to get my by for now...

I talked to my buddy with the ZX2 tonight. He's sellin the car and he's stripped the hell out of it. He took the bags and cylinders off and sold 'em, he took the Lambo doors off and sold 'em, he took the wall out, I was like "holy sh*t dude!!"

So yeah, I can't get a pic of it, but I will ask him how hard it was to install the suspension.

Yeah I've got other bills that have to take precedence over my bags, so I'm just gonna cut 2 coils off the front springs and I have a 3" block kit for the back. I've got new springs comin in prep. for the bags, so I don't care about cuttin the stock ones, lol.

i dunno, ever since i saw a slammed mini truck for the first time (god knows how long ago) ive just been hooked! i used to be into big trucks, but it just dosent do it for me anymore. the only reason i had the k5 blazer is cause it was free. otherwise i would have gotten an s10 blazer. but now i got one so im happy, too bad i cant touch it till the other 2 rides are done. oh well, when the sonoma's done, ill sell that, buy another daily driver and tear into the blazer. that way the whole family can drag together!
