gotcha...it really does look clean in that picture...why the resto?

That picture is the only surviving picture of the car that I have right now (other than the background in my Senior Prom picture, but you can't see much of the car). I lost a full box of photos in one of the various (don't know which one exactly) moves that I have made over the years to and from college, in and out of apartments & dorms, etc. There were a lot of other pics that I wish I still had other than of the car (if you can imagine loosing an entire box of pictures from over the last 10+ years).

Anyway, like I was saying, that picture was taken right after I bought it (for the staggering price of $2k). The rims were original SS rims which I sold for $$$ and picked up a set of Corvette Rallys (again original) and paint matched the rims. The Rally rims are worth more now and I picked them up at a junk yard for scrap (LOL). Here I am rambling on again. So, to make a long story short, I had to replace part of the floor inside and we didn't do it with replacement panels, just sheet metal. I need to redo the floor again with true replacement panels and get the under-floor supports redone as well as replace both rear quarter panels. You can't tell from that photo (because the body work was just done as well as the paint), but there was some riveted panels in both rear quarters and the bondo that they used to smooth it over is now bubbling.

Seeing as how that picture is 12 years old now (I'm 26)... The car has seen better days. It has spent the last 8 years under my fathers barn just waiting for the $$$, Time & Space to bring it to my place to start the disassembly. Wish me luck!

MERCEDES 500 AMG 1998-2002
PORSCHE CARRERA 4S 2002-2004
JEEP WRANGLER 4x4 2000-2005

I was just wondering... why do you all are not considering a fast & gorgeous german beauty as a dream car? Don't you all like Porsche's, Mercedes, Audi's and so on? I used to drive 330 HP Mercedes and 360 HP Porsches in the past and believe me, they are pure fun and adrenaline...

why am i not considering it. well mostly cause dream cars are ones that are hard to find , and really are masterpeices. a porsche is nice but it will never be a black on black 1967 chevelle 454 ss, or a 1964 gto 389 tri power or a hemi cuda. my srt-4 was a great car to. built with alot of mercedes influenice, but still not really a dream car for most people.

Well in my opinion a dream car is any car you would like to have as your own. The only reason I like my buddy's T/A is because it has a LT1 and a 6 spd, which I want to put in my Blazer. If i had to go with a car that is hard to find then I go with my first answer.

If you choose a dream car by its difficulty to get one Porsches should still take into consideration Porsches... try to find the 550 Spider which James Dean was driving when died for example or a 1950-1954 Mercedes 190 SL. I guess here in Europe got more confidence with German trademarks and less with american ones and you back there in the US the other way around.

its not that hard to find a porsche though. it more of the fact u got to be able to afford it. dream cars are different for every person.

if i could honestly pick a car to have. i would pick my srt-4. i would rather have her back in my driveway. still even a month after the accident i still think about her everyday and miss her just as much. i think lossing car cool car is worse then actually never being able to get it

I perfectly agree with you 96S10blazer in that. Losing a car is a lot worst than never having being able to get it. I also already had my dream car and lost her 2 years ago now but my heart still hurt when I do see one on the street... I wish I may find it again! But sooner or later I'm sure I'll have it back!

I don't agree with you Patrick... try to get the ones I got and I bet you wouldn't find them easily. I got a 993 Carrera 4S Plus (the plus one is with some Carrera Cup parts and about 25 HP added) which is very rare even in Europe. About BMW I may say they are not "special" cars since back here in Europe we do use to consider BMW owners as overdebt people with cheap, arrogant cars. And about MB I owned the famous 500E AMG with 330 HP which is also not that common to see/find. So reconsider what you said since it always depends on which VERSION you get.

It is full of BMW, MB and Porsches but who's got the RIGHT (rare) one?
