if you had the money to buy, restore, or build your dream ride, what would it be? i'd have to say a 59 caddy draggin rocker. 0-60 in about 6 minutes

Id have to say a 1969 Camaro Z28 Convertible(only 1 was made). I love old Camaros. Or a 1967 Shelby GT 500 with a 427 and a 4 speed(Like Gone In 60 Sec.)

Oh yeah, Blazin97, I love the old Camaros too.

There's a guy down here that sells restored muscle cars, he's got some niiiiice rides. A while back he had a '69 SS convertible, 5 spd with a ZZ502 in it *drool*. It had 18" mag rims, yellow with black leather interior, had been converted to power windows, power locks, even had a power top. He wanted $40k for it

Already own it (see sig), just need the time to restore and customize. Was my first car. Bought it when I was 14. It needed a new floor. I rebuilt the engine and trans. That car could scream. I'm torn between a forced induction fuel injected small block and a nice big fuel injected big block (aka Ram Jet 502).

swart, if it is a factory SS, i would never alter the drivetrain. I would keep it as an NA big block. just my opinion...it looks like a very nice car, and i wouldnt change something that drastic.

Don't worry. If it was an original SS, I wouldn't touch the drivetrain (even though I think the 396 was less than the 350). It was a regular plain jane Chevelle. When I replaced the grill, the SS emblem was cheaper than the bowtie. The fact that it was just a Chevelle is why I want to make it into the cruiser that I know it can be and that I have in my mind.
