Actually you only need some type of red reflector on the back. Does not have to be in taillight.

No prob.

That's how the OEM's do it. Look at a Mercury Mountaineer or Lexus RX330. Both have totally clear taillights but they also have two small red reflectors on the rear bumper. Most states have laws against clear taillights, but federal laws trump state laws.

You rememebr the sellers name, (check feedback maybe) I am looking to black-out my jimmy and there are tons of lights on eBay, from what I hear some are good some are trash. As long as they have the D.O.T. number molded onto the lights they are legal, all the ones I have seen on eBay have them.

Thanks for the info if you remember

I'm missing something here. I just bought a set like these on Ebay for my 2000, only difference is a chrome band around the outer edge. Paid $40, had my choice only 1/2 dozen vendors. Who else paid how much?. They're on a black 2000 2 door.

Ok mine are TYC and I paid something like $120-$140 with shipping. So maybe thats the difference? Mine were listed as "Black", where they have chrome, carbon fiber, etc.

The ones I got are very close to yours, they're listed today under item #11001170402 at buy it now $42/$23 shipping, I'd have to go upstairs to see what I paid but it wasn't any more. I know they have many different styles, I wanted black to go with my black car. Unfortunately while there are 25 pages of S-10 Blazer parts listed today, and there are numerous black tailites for UP TO 1993 there was only one style listed for 1995 and up, the black ones.
PS: clear cornering/turn lites are all over for $30-35 a pair. I wanted EXACTLY what you have, ALL black without the chrome strip. But I wouldn't pay over $50-60, I'm cheap and for what I did to mine I don't need them.

Yes, they do, that's what got me thinking about changing mine (I leased a TrailBlazer). Looked up my paperwork, I got x3 Racing, their black with a chrome outer edge, not solid black like the TrailBlazer and Dory's. Price was $33/23 or $56 shipped.

I don't know where you get "ricey" looking from, unless the TrailBlazer looks "ricey".
