I am new to the forum and to a blazer so I dont know what would be a good cam size to put in a 2001 blazer with bolt ons. Ive had nothing but trans ams and formulas so I dont know much about blazers or s10's or any of that stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

go to http://www.compcams.com/
on the lower right hand side there is a "cam recommendation form." they will help you get the right cam for whatever youre trying to do. it takes a different cam depending on what youre looking for - economy, hp, torque, etc etc...

i say go with a 270ah cam off the shelf. gives the 4.3L a much better top end. then i say go with- longtube headers - will require some custom fabrication- 2.5" y-pipe and 2.5" exhaust with straight through muffler. dont forget K&N intake, and underdrive pullies. if its an automatic put a 3000stall t/c in it with a tranny cooler and get it tuned for sure. if you want it 2 feel more like the t/a then i say also drop a 75 to 100 wet shot of nitrous on it. the 4.3L absolutley loves nitrous :D
