Hi everyone,

I have a 1998 LS s10 4 door blazer 4.3L 4x4 that i bought brand new in '98. Automatic with 74,000 miles.

When you first start in the morning or after it has sat for a little bit the truck takes off like its in 4 wheel when its not. Then at around 2500 or 30 MPH the engine/tranny quites down and all is normal. I have had this problem for some time and had the tranny filter/fluid changed but that did not help. I put it in 4 wheel and back to 2 wheel high thinking it was stuck in 4 wheel but it was not. Shifts fine, no jerking motion. Still has alot of power to get moving. Not sure what it is. Maybe someone else had this problem and can tell me how they fixed it.

The truck runs great and shifts great just wondering why it whines out so loud until around 30 Mph or 2500 Rpms?

Thanks for info.
Ralph
