My 33 11.5" only rubbed the frame and sway bar at full crank and they were mounted on 6" backspaced Firebird wheels. I just didnt turn the wheel all the way when making turns. No biggy.

I am running 31x10.50-15 Mud terrains, and they rub a little...only if I take bumps too fast or turn the wheel hard over. i had the same size All Terrains, and they only rubbed when I had the wheel hard over. 31's are an ideal choice for these trucks. Side by side, the 30x9.50-15 look MUCH smaller. They are a great choice, but I like my blazer lookin a little beefy, so I went with the 31's again. I am riding at stock height also. I am putting on Add-a-leafs on Friday to cure a little bit of sag in the rear end, but only for appearance sake.

Yes lots of people choose the 31x10.5.15s But do they actually off road there Blazer and what sort of damage are we looking at, with those on.
Mine catches the bottom corner right hand wheel arch.
Its been reported on here that the torsion bar on that side is weak. I dunno!

The wheel arches on these are just too small to cope with any good choice off road tyre, imo. Thats if you do any offroading.

Hey I have a 2001 Blazer LS and everything is stock except for my tires. Believe it or not I fit 31x10.5 and I haven't rubbed yet. I plan on getting a 2 inch BL and a 2 inch suspension lift and hopefully run some 33x12.5's. So I'd have to say from my experience its safe to run 31's.

I have off-roaded the piss out of all 3 S10-Blazer I owned. I have run stock sized tires and 30" tires. If your wheeling it hard enough 30" tire will rub. 31" sound like your eating the floor boards off. Friend of my sons runs 31" tires, everytime we go off-roading you can hear the tires grab sheet metal.

For street driveing you could get away with non-agressive tires in the 31" flavor. But get that rig out in the rough stuff and you will swear your tires are eating your fenders off, especially if your running mud tires.
