wish me luck people. today i'm goin to install everything myself. which is not gonna be easy, but i've done if before. i'm runnin my own wires and all. keepin the factory radio unfortunately until my funds are better, and i already have a line out converter. i'm using 2 insignia(which are best buy brand speakers, 150 watts each) 12"subs, a 500 watt power acoustik amp, and probably gonna install my dvd player and tv too. yes i know i have poor subs, but i have a type 2 box, which makes all the difference, trust me. if all goes well, i'll be poundin my 2 pm, i'm startin around noon. blazers have that hatch back which adds a really good sound to the speakers, so i pound even harder. you'll hear me comin. til then,1

it is best buy lingo actually - if you look at boxes at best buy, they are labeled type 1, 2, or 3. type one is sealed, type two ported, and i think type 3 is bandpass. im not sure on type 3. i used to price things there all the time and play with speakers.

well after two days of attempting to start (only attempts because the tools needed weren't available due to someone leaving the house with them), i buckled down and paid for pro install. costs me $60 because i the wires i previously had, had been clipped when a would-be thief removed my first amp, and couldn't remove the speaker box. so i wasn't so mad at that price. i kept my factory head unit in because i really didn't have the cake to spend on a CD player at the time. i'll put that in myself. but all in all, my system pounds! still haven't turned it up all the way. it makes my eardrums itch, lol.

lol, of course i'm not hitting 150 with this amp, i'm lucky to hit 135. i won 2 local competitions with my all kicker setup.i don't have the amp anymore, sold it on ebay to a guy in texas for like 300 bux. because trust me, i know what it's like to take your rear view mirror off because it comes off anyway everytime you ride in your car.

I agree. Look into the DEHP3800MP, DEHP4800MP. those are the price range you are lookin in. both great deals. only diff between the two is the faceplace. one has cd slot in it, and the other is a fold down unit.

my pioneer dosent have sub control SLA=sound level adjustment, also makes ur speakers distort.....A bass level from -6 to +6, I leave it at 0. And then an equalizer for treble, highs, mids, and lows......I'm thinkin JVC next time round.....
also I belive the ground is shot, as hillbilly always states
